As a kid I used to wonder what my life would be like in the year 2000. Well, once I got there it wasn't quite like I thought it would be. I wondered just how satisfied was I about where I was in life.

I decided it was time to break out of old patterns and start taking some chances--to start figuring out who I really was and who I wanted to be. A cross-country trip by car seemed like a good way to get a fresh perspective on things. This site is about that trip I took in the fall of 1999.
