The fruits of the Ron Paul rEVOLution are starting to ripen and fall from the tree. Ron Paul's supporters are now starting to pay lots of attention to a few up-and-coming libertarians.

Three standouts at this point are Peter, Paul, and Mary. That's Peter Schiff, Rand Paul, and Mary Ruwart.

Peter Schiff is an economics expert who has been fairly well-known for predicting our current financial crisis. He is charismatic, intelligent, and well-spoken. In many ways, he's a polished version of Ron Paul. He's been featured in the media quite a bit lately and has become quite recognizable. He just recently announced his candidacy to take Chris Dodd's Senate seat in Connecticut.

Following in the footsteps of Ron Paul, today Schiff is holding a money bomb that has so far generated over $615,000.

Rand Paul is Ron Paul's son. He shares many of the same philosophies of his father but is a more relaxed speaker. He recently announced his campaign for a Senate seat in Kentucky.

Both Schiff and Paul are running as "Ron Paul Republicans"--true economic conservatives who put a high value on closely following the original intent of the Constitution.

Mary Ruwart was in the running to be the Libertarian Party's presidential candidate in the last election, but she ultimately lost to Bob Barr. The selection of Barr created a rift in the LP between Barr supporters and others who felt Barr was a political sellout with a questionable voting history rather than a true principled libertarian. The latter group felt some of the party's principled consistent supporters such as Mary Ruwart would have been a much better choice. Mary wrote one of the best introductions to libertarianism, Healing Our World.

Whether Mary will stick with the Libertarian Party is yet to be seen. But she will certainly continue to be a dominant force in libertarian politics.
